Letter to Our New Neighbors

Dear Charleston,

It’s official! Epiphany Wine Company has launched in the South Carolina market. Over the summer our team of dedicated sales representatives, CC Glenn and Jeremy Johnson, along with the support and guidance of Epiphany’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Kim Sear, eagerly opened up shop in the Holy City.

When deciding to grow Epiphany and expand upon its many successes in North Carolina, we thought to ourselves, “What better market to start out in than Charleston?!” After all, there’s a reason Charleston has been voted the Number 1 City in the World and Number 1 City in the U.S. and Canada in the Travel + Leisure 2016 World’s Best Awards.

The past several years have seen exponential growth in the restaurant and hospitality industry down here. Restaurants, bars and hotels are opening every day, setting trends for the rest of the Southeast and furthermore for the country.

We are honored to be a part of such a dynamic community that is not only revered and lauded, but extremely hospitable.

We know that you have many options when it comes to choosing with whom to conduct business. We can guarantee that you’ll be pleased to work with Epiphany. We are a remarkable company that is dedicated to offering excellent wines, competitive pricing and to delivering phenomenal customer service! We are fortunate to partner with some marvelous producers and importers that are just as enthusiastic as we are to introduce our portfolio of wines to this area, many of which Charleston has never had before.

Epiphany-NC launched in 2012, after our parent company, Mutual Distributing Company, saw the need to expand its fine wine portfolio. We focus on smaller production wineries that are mostly family owned and operated. We strive to find estate producers and quality winemakers that over-deliver. We have an excellent portfolio of wines from around the world that are very well-suited for a wide array of price points.

Our sales representatives are focused on enhancing our customers’ wine options, educating customers and consumers, and ultimately bettering the business of our customers. Selling wine is a mutual partnership. We want to provide only the best selection of wines for you to make your customers thoroughly enjoy their wine experience.

Yes—we are the “new kids on the block.” Trust us, we are worth exploring! We know this is a competitive and challenging market. Nonetheless, we are thrilled to be here. We believe in our wines, we believe in our producers, and we believe in our company. We are overjoyed to be meeting so many talented and knowledgeable chefs, sommeliers, beverage directors and managers.

So, Charleston—thank you! In the few short months since we launched in the Lowcountry, you have already proven to be such a fantastic hostess.

Thank you for such a warm and welcoming reception these inaugural months in your beautiful city. We have experienced lovely, helpful and thoughtful feedback from our customers and those we hope to soon call customers.

Please browse our website to look through the fantastic producers we represent in South Carolina. We are also live on SevenFifty. Check us out!

If there are any wines or producers you are interested in learning more about, please do not hesitate to email us with any questions, thoughts or concerns.

Thank you again! We look forward to many more days, months and years of serving you and your customers!
